My husband thinks that Jimi Hendrix's never really got the reccommendations that he should have gotten !!!!!!
This CD music of Hendrix's rates a top Five Stars ;however, if the ratings would go higher this music of Jimi Hendrix would be right on top !!! Excellent music!

At last a new Hendrix record
Is it something Jimi would have published while he was alive? No. But it is good the hear the Master once again and undersand why he is still th greatest guitarist of all times
Few new things, few outtakes but it's Jimi for sure
Pretty much what an experienced Hendrix listener would expect March 19, 2010 Blind (Canada) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
It's nice to see that the "Valleys of Neptune" single has become Hendrix's highest charting single ever. But, listeners should note that this album is in fact not the first place that the song "Valleys of Neptune" has been legally released on CD. That distinction goes to the third disc of the 1989 Castle Communications release _'Live & Unreleased' The Radio Show_. This new release sounds like a more completed version that has come from the original master tapes, however, and it is about time that the song saw proper release in the way that it now has. Every song on the album is a very fine performance, though longtime Hendrix fans (and album purchasers) will have heard similar versions of most of the tracks. This is certainly not the first Hendrix album that a new fan should get, but there is nothing on the album that was unworthy of release either. Listeners should note, too, that the track "Lullaby for Summer" is an early version of "Ezy Ryder," while "Ships Passing Through the Night" is an early version of "Nightbird Flying." I recently read a newspaper review that erroneously suggested the tracks on _Valleys of Neptune_ are Hendrix's "last recordings." This isn't true. Go to _First Rays of the New Rising Sun_ to get something more like Jimi's swansong. Still, this album is good.
Excellent Hendrix March 14, 2010 J. M. Ricke (Guelph, Ontario Canada) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I am not a great Hendrix fan. But this record is excellent. Fesh and deep.
Powerful and masterful guitar play. Gripping riffs.
Just great listening.
Stone free...but forever stone March 10, 2010 Sylvain Dionne (Montréal) 3 out of 9 found this review helpful
This son of a gun is still impressive after all those years, "hear my train a comin" don't miss. Rock'n roll will never die, that's it that's all.
